UAE announces Hijri New Year holiday for public sector

The United Arab Emirates reported an occasion on August 12 for public area representatives to stamp the Hijri New Year.

“Hijri New Year Holiday – extended – for the year 1443 in the Federal Government will be on Thursday, August 12,” the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources said on Twitter.

The occasion, which falls on a Thursday, will permit public area representatives to partake in a long weekend.

Authorities presently can’t seem to reported whether private area workers will likewise have a free day on August 12.

The Islamic New Year points the start of another lunar Hijri year and is the day on which the year tally is augmented.
