In the last 24 hours, 216 more people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country due to dengue. Among them 206 are newly admitted in Dhaka.
Besides, 10 dengue patients have been admitted in other districts and divisions.
This was stated in a statement on dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Thursday (August 5).
It said 216 new dengue patients have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the last 24 hours. Of these, 206 are in Dhaka. There are 10 people outside Dhaka.
At present, a total of 1,055 dengue patients are admitted in various government and private hospitals in the country. Of these, 1,012 patients are admitted in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and a total of 43 patients are admitted in other departments at present.
The total number of patients admitted to different hospitals from January 1 to August 5 this year is 3,901. At the same time, 2,636 people were discharged from the hospital.
At the same time, the Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has sent data on the deaths of ten suspected dengue patients. The IEDCR has not yet completed a review of any deaths and has not confirmed that any deaths were due to dengue.
